What is Dipentylone
Dipentylone HCL is also known as dipentylone. It is a substituted cathinone and contains certain entactogens. These are cathinone derivatives. These substitutions include a phenethylamine base with an alkyl link to the alpha carbon, and a attached ketone to the beta carbon. It was discovered in Sweden in 2014.

Dipentylone is also known as 1-(1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-2-(dimethylamino)pentan-1-one.

Modifications have been made to the structure of substituted felinones, an alkaloid that is found in Khat plants. Substances that have structural similarities include pentylone and N-ethyl pentylone. Eutylone could be considered a pentylone-isomer. An isomer of N-ethyl pentylone is N,N-dimethylpentylone.

Dipentylone Action
DPH acts as a norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor (NDRI). It increases brain levels of dopamine and norepinephrine by blocking their reuptake. This results in increased alertness, energy and concentration. DPH can also act as an agonist for the 5-HT1A serotonin receptor, which results in increased brain serotonin levels.
