Lysergamides

Lysergamides are a class of chemical compounds that are amides of lysergic acid, a component found in ergot fungi and other fungi. The most famous example is LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide), known for its powerful psychotropic, or hallucinogenic, effects. Many lysergamides contain both phenethylamine and tryptamine structural components within their ergoline ring system.
